Pocket Spring
Mattresses

Our spring mattresses are locally manufactured using imported steel wire which is coiled and heat treated to ensure that the springs do not reduce in height. These springs are then enclosed in individual fabric pockets which are arranged in interlocking pattern glued together with special hot melt glue made from natural tree resin. This is the latest technology pocket spring system.

Each POCKET SPRING is individually wrapped in a textile material, which enables free movement and stops partner disturbance due to movement. it does not carry movement over to the partner. Eliminating sleep interruption which enables you to achieve deep sleep.

Pocket Spring Mattresses

Differences between the conventional pocket springs and the traditional bonnel springs

POCKET SPRING

Pocket Spring Mattresses
INDEPENDENT COILS HIGH POINT FLEXIBILITY

INDEPENDENT COILS

High point flexibility: coils are allocated into fabric pockets, therefore each coil can move independently from the next one, conforms better to the shape of human body

BONNELL SPRING

Pocket Spring Mattresses
CONNECTED COILS LOW POINT FLEXIBILITY

Inter-connected by rigid metal wire

Low Point Flexibility:
the in-ability of the rigid metal wire-connected coils to move independently,
offers the same level of support throughout without conforming to ones body shape.

POCKET SPRING

In pocket spring systems, spring coils are not connected to each other with wires, so there is no mechanical connection between the coils. Spring coils are allocated into fabric pockets, therefore each coil can move independently from the next one.

High point flexibility, which is the ability of pocketed spring coils to stretch independently, brings two main advantages:

1

The mattress conforms better to the shape of human body, thus the pressure applied by the mattress on the body is distributed more evenly instead of being concentrated on certain regions. The spine takes a better shape during sleep, blood circulation becomes healthier, and sleep comfort increases.

2

The motion transfer reduction ability of the mattress is stronger. When couples are sleeping together, they are less affected by each other’s movements in bed.

3

Pocket spring system has more than two times the bonnel spring count.

BONNELL SPRING

In  bonnell spring system, spring coils are inter-connected by rigid metal wire which transfers motion because, bonnell springs cannot move independently as they are all tied together.

Low point flexibility, the in-ability of the rigid metal wire-connected coils to move independently, means:

1

The coils move simultaneously when the person lies down on his/her mattress and offers the same level of support throughout without conforming to ones body shape.

2

When couples are sleeping together, they are more affected by each other’s movements in bed due to motion transfer which causes partner disturbance resulting to sleep interruptions.

3

Compared to pocket system, bonnel system has less than half of the pocket spring count
